Photography exhibition: A Portrait of Recovery by Rosy Nesbitt

Sheffield Archives and Local Studies Library were awarded a grant by Arts Council England for a year-long project called ‘The City as Bricolage’.  Three local photographers have worked with us to document different aspects of Sheffield for the city archives.  The photographs will be on show at Sheffield Cathedral in three unique exhibitions during February and March.

'A Portrait of Recovery' documents individuals who are trying to reclaim their lives from drug and alcohol abuse. The project concentrates on including the excluded, and reveals the often-overlooked issues that such individuals have to face.
Rosy Nesbitt obtained a First Class Honours degree in Photography at Sheffield Hallam University in 2013 and specialises in portrait and documentary photography.
