Cartoon and Drawing Workshop with Doctor Simpo
Have you read a book that you really loved that didn’t have pictures in? I’m sure that you will agree pictures can help us enjoy the story that little bit more. Come and join Doctor Simpo who will show you how take words and turn them into pictures. You can then have a go at creating your own wordless story.

Everybody In! with Sheffield storyteller Carmel Page
Explore storyland with local author Carmel Page. This fun and interactive workshop will be looking at everyday household objects as story characters and making up a story for them.

Design and Create Your Own Comic with Sheffield Illustrator Anjan Sarkar
Have you ever thought about designing your own comic or graphic novel but not sure where to start? Join local illustrator Anjan Sarkar for a fun filled drawing workshop. Anjan will be giving tips on how to design your characters, how to draw a range of expressions, the use of speech bubbles and line movements, all of which will bring your drawing to life!

Amazelab Craft Activity
Come and join Amazelab at this creative craft activity. Use your imagination to create a scene from your favourite story, (or you can make up your own) in the form of a diorama (a three dimensional model).

Meet the Author Steve Smallman
Steve Smallman is the award winning author of lots of fantastic books including ‘Poo in the Zoo’, ‘Monty the Hero’ and ‘Batmouse’. He likes nothing better than sharing his stories and drawing his pictures in front of a live audience.
