Tinsley Court Rolls date from 1284 to 1805. In total there are 212 surviving documents held at Sheffield Archives. They give us a unique view of daily life in Tinsley spanning over 700 years.
'Unravelling Tinsley Rolls' is a project which brings together historians and volunteers to better understand these documents.
The team are currently running weekly open study sessions at Sheffield Archives. In 2015 the team will also be running a number of other free events with the aim of helping people to understand and interpret the rolls.
